This page tells you what happens between the moment you pay and the moment the box reaches you, including the customs part, because that is the part most stores leave out. If anything here does not match what you saw at checkout, call us on 541-524-4224 and we will sort it out.
MovieStarJacket has made leather outerwear since 2013. Production and dispatch are handled from our facility at 24 Al Khabaisi Area, 13 B Street, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and most orders leave from there.
Our United States office at 7901 4th St N STE 300, Saint Petersburg, Florida 33702 handles customer service, correspondence and some returns. It is not a shop and it is not a warehouse.
We process orders in 2 to 4 business days, Monday to Friday, excluding United Arab Emirates public holidays. Orders placed after 5:00 pm Gulf Standard Time begin processing the next business day.
Processing is not shipping. Your total wait is processing time plus transit time, and both numbers are on this page so you can add them yourself.
You get an order confirmation email as soon as you pay. That email confirms we received the order. A second email follows when the parcel actually leaves us, and that one carries the tracking number.

Free standard shipping applies automatically once your cart passes $149.00 before tax. You do not need a code.

Transit times outside the United Arab Emirates depend on how quickly the destination customs authority clears the parcel, which is the one part of the process nobody can control. The ranges above already allow for typical clearance.
We ship with DHL, FedEx, UPS and Aramex. The carrier is chosen by destination and service level, and your dispatch email tells you which one has your box.
Your tracking number arrives by email on the day your parcel is handed to the carrier. Tracking usually goes live within 24 hours of that email, so a number that shows nothing on the first evening is normal.
If seven business days pass with no tracking number, something has gone wrong at our end. Email info@moviestarjacket.com with your order number and we will chase it the same business day.
This section matters more than it used to, so please read it before you order.
Since 29 August 2025 the United States has applied duties to imported parcels regardless of their value. The previous exemption for shipments under $800 no longer exists. Because your order travels from Dubai, United States customs treats it as an import and duty is assessed on it.
Where import charges are calculated and collected at checkout, the total you approve is the total you pay and nothing further is due on delivery. Where they are not shown at checkout, the carrier collects them from you before it hands over the parcel. Your checkout screen tells you which of the two applies to your order.
The same principle applies outside the United States. Import duty, VAT, GST and customs handling fees are set by your own government, not by us, and they are never included in the item price. Check with your local customs office if you want the figure in advance.
We declare the true value of every parcel and describe the contents accurately. We cannot mark an order as a gift or lower the declared value, because that is customs fraud in both countries.
Prices on this site are shown in United States dollars and do not include sales tax. Where sales tax applies to your delivery address, it is calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay, so the number you approve is the number that leaves your account.
We ship worldwide, with two exceptions. We cannot ship to destinations subject to United States or United Arab Emirates trade sanctions, and we cannot ship to addresses our carriers refuse to serve. If your country falls into either category, checkout tells you before you pay.
Your parcel goes to the address exactly as you typed it. Check the apartment number, the postal code and the spelling before you confirm the order.
If you spot a mistake, email us within 24 hours and we will correct it at no cost, provided the order has not shipped. Once a parcel is with the carrier an address change costs whatever the carrier charges, and some carriers will not do it at all. Parcels returned to us because of an incorrect address can be reshipped once the shipping cost is paid again.
If the carrier confirms your parcel is lost, we will replace it or refund it in full, your choice, within 10 business days of that confirmation. Contact us and we open the claim for you rather than sending you to the carrier.
Photograph the box and the jacket before you do anything else, then email the photos to info@moviestarjacket.com within seven days of delivery. Damage claims raised after seven days are much harder to win with carriers, which is the only reason for the limit. Once we have the photos we cover return shipping and send a replacement or a refund.
Check with neighbours and your building office first, since this resolves it most of the time. If the parcel has not appeared within two business days, contact us and we file a carrier trace.
Title and risk pass to you when the carrier takes possession, but the paragraphs above describe what we actually do, and we do not use that clause to walk away from a lost parcel.
We update this policy when our rates, carriers or customs obligations change. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are announced by email to subscribers at least seven days before they take effect. The version live on the day you ordered is the version that governs your order.
